Benny Hinn publicly renounces the prosperity Gospel saying, “I’m done with it” and apologizes to those he has possibly led astray.
Benny is an Israeli televangelist that is best known for his “Miracle Crusade” and prosperity Gospel. For 46 years in the ministry, the charismatic televangelist has humbly come to the conclusion that he has been interpreting the Scripture wrongly before.
“I’m correcting my own theology and you need to all know it. Because when I read the Bible now, I don’t see the Bible in the same eyes I saw the Bible 20 years ago,” Benny said publicly.
On prosperity Gospel
Benny even said that the prosperity Gospel is an offense to the Lord.
“I think it’s an offense to the Lord to say ‘give a thousand dollars.’ I think it’s an offense to the Holy Spirit to place a price on the Gospel. I’m done with it,” he boldly declared.
Benny now strongly disagrees with the prosperity Gospel which he has been preaching for years before. Upon waking up to the truth after an intimate moment with the Lord, Benny made his confession public once and for all.
The 66-years-old evangelist came back to study the Bible intimately with the Lord and restate his calling which is to be an evangelist for the lost.
“I do not want to be known as a prosperity teacher, that’s not really my call. My call is I am an evangelist. God called me to win the lost, to preach the Gospel, to pray for the sick, to introduce the power of the Holy Spirit,” Benny said in an interview with Encounter TV.
Benny Hinn’s repentance is an example for us that it’s not yet too late to repent for all the years we’ve been led astray by our own understanding. Ask the Lord to search your heart for the things that might have been leading you to the wrong path.
