A little boy defended a woman jogging on the road from a rude catcaller. His bravery and compassion are now going viral!
Singer and songwriter Julia Price was jogging in her usual running path when he heard an old man yelling at her. He seems to be decent, well-dressed and appeared to be taking his lunch break from the office job. The man was yelling so loud that she was able to hear him through her earphones.
“Sexy lady, hey hey hey sexy lady,” the man yelled to Julia.
Julia decided to just ignore him and that just made the situation worse. The rude man was pissed off and started to curse at the singer and called her B****. On that point, Julia decided to speak up and defend herself, but before she even spoke a word, a little boy defended her from the rude catcaller.
The little boy James, alongside her mother and little sister, was passing by when they happened to witness the whole situation. James didn’t have a second thought and acted on the situation immediately.
“Hey. That is not nice to say to her and she didn’t like you yelling at her. You shouldn’t do that because she is a nice girl and I don’t let anyone say mean things to people. She’s a girl like my sister and I will protect her,” James said to the old man.
The catcaller was embarrassed and he gathered his lunch to leave. Meanwhile, Julia approached the lovely family and asked the mother if she could hug the little boy.
“I told him how grateful I was for him,” Julia stated in a Facebook post on November 2015.
But the sweet little boy said, “Well I just wanted to make sure your heart was okay.”
Julia learned from James’s mother that it was just normal for him to do such a brave act.
“Thank you so much to the mothers and fathers who are raising the next generation to be brave and courageous, and to be little earth angels for all. I am so touched,” she stated at the end of her Facebook post.
This incident happened a couple of years ago and it resurfaced again to teach everyone something. There’s still a lot of catcalling incident happening anywhere in this world. Let’s make this world a safer place for everyone by raising the next generation according to God’s Word.
