On August 24, 2019, Lauren Daigle worshipped with the women in Ohio Reformatory and delivered a very touching message.
Since 2018, the award-winning artist has dedicated her time in visiting prison and reformatory to give hope and love to the inmates. She surely has no problem following the call of Jesus in Matthew 25 to visit those in prison. Her songs so powerfully convey our true sense of self-worth and offer hope to everyone, whether in physical or spiritual captivity.
Ohio Reformatory visit
Just this weekend, she visited the women in Ohio Reformatory to fellowship and worship with them. Lauren even gave them a message of hope and showed them what the love of God is.
“The one thing we can always do is to look up. You can look up and see the sky. You can look up and see the kindness of God and His extravagant love for each one of you. And I know sometimes I can be hard to wrap your mind around but let me tell you something, He doesn’t see you bad, your faults, or maybe the things that you’ve done or the things that have trapped you and ensnared you. But He sees you as children, as His own,” she said to the inmates of the reformatory.
Lauren was almost in tears as she was welcomed by the women. She then sang “You Say” with them and it was an emotional scene! It was a day filled with hope, joy, and love!
“I just want all of you to know that we value you. We are so elated to be with you guys. I want each one of you to know that you have something special inside of you,” Lauren said to the women.
